Kristin + Chris’ Romantic Blush Wedding
Hello friends, today we are sharing Kristin and Chris’ romantic blush wedding. This wedding is absolutely gorgeous in white, green and blush, with an aesthetic that is classically beautiful. Fabulous outfits, lovely flowers and sophisticated details.
Our bride is a sweetheart through and through and looked incredibly elegant in her STUNNING gown from Hello Beautiful. I love this style with a simple silhouette, off the shoulder sleeves, and a gorgeous long train for a more formal look. Her look was complete with her cathedral veil, with beautiful texture from the organza petals. Perfection.
For her bouquet we kept with a classic hand tied bouquet, designed in a loose, organic style in an assortment of romantic blooms in white, blush and light terracotta. We used astilbe, lisianthus, ranunculus, roses (varieties quicksand, cappuccino, play blanca and white majolica sprays) and sweet peas. The bouquet was finished off with a traditional white stem wrap, with a gold charm to honour a loved one.
The bridesmaids looked glamourous in satin champagne gowns. We kept their bouquets a similar style to Kristin’s, but all white. This complimented their dresses beautifully, and also made Kristin’s stand out, making hers extra special! The bouquets were made with soft, pretty roses and ranunculus. A simple satin stem wrap was the perfect finish for these bouquets.
Their flower girl was absolutely precious in her sweet little dress. She had a mini version of her mom’s bouquet and the adorable photos of her inspecting and sniffing It were basically a cuteness overload! It looks like she did a great job helping out on her parents’ big day!
CEREMONY
Chris was looking very dashing on their wedding day! I really enjoyed the texture of his tuxedo! It was a subtle detail, but it added a little sheen and a little personality! His boutonniere was a ‘mini bouquet’ style featuring a cappuccino rose with some white sweet pea, ranunculus and astilbe and little tucks of bleached ruscus. You can really see how his face lights up in the photos of him with his blushing bride!
The outdoor ceremony space at 52 North is beautiful and tranquil looking! It looked absolutely amazing dressed up with roses lining the aisle. This is such a romantic look made by tucking hundreds of roses into the ground at various heights. It looks as though the roses are growing right out of the ground. I especially love this look with a few different varieties of roses, there is a soft use of colour.
Kristin and Chris’ archway was beautiful! I love the wooden hexagon, which is a unique shape. I also love that rather than completely covering the top and leaving the bottom open, they did the opposite. The negative space at the top looked amazing, and it reminded me a little of a ground arch, which are very hot right now!
We did use some permanent botanicals for this design. They create a wonderful base for big designs such as this one, adding volume while being more cost efficient. This design used artificial hydrangea, delphinium and cherry blossom for its foundation. Then, we filled in with mocha lisianthus, a mixture of roses to match Kristin’s bouquet, stock and bleached ruscus. The end result was a romantic, full asymmetrical design that was a perfect backdrop for the ceremony!
RECEPTION
The reception was just as stunning! We designed some small simple designs to highlight the timeline for the evening as well as the bar menu. These arrangements were made up of roses, ranunculus, spray roses, astilbe lisianthus and bleaches ruscus.
52 North has funky rectangular chandeliers, which we gave the Calyx Treatment. Using Smilax and ruscus to adorn the light fixtures added so much colour to the space and added an earthy element to the space.
The rectangular guest tables looked amazing! Soft white table runners were the base to the centrepieces. Then they used an assortment of candles, both pillar and tapers arranged in clusters. These would have added so much ambience to the space, which definitely ups the romance factor too! Tucked between the candles we had bud vases with roses. It was the perfect balance of the tables looking full, without seeming cluttered or getting in the way for guests.
Lastly, the head table! For this special table we revamped the archway from the ceremony. We deconstructed the original design, keeping some of the pieces secured on the arch to frame our radiant couple. The remainder of the pieces adorned the front of the head table. The front of the table there were clusters of black lanterns. I love the wrought iron details of these and the holders for the taper candles. The contrast with the pale colours compliments the industrial accents of the reception space, without taking away from the classic, romantic feel.
We just loved this pretty, timeless wedding, and hope you did too! Stay tuned next month for some festive inspiration!
