Calyx Floral Design, an internationally acclaimed floral design team based in Red Deer, Alberta, traces its roots back to the early career of owner and principal designer Travis Mills. Travis embarked on her journey at the age of 14, working part-time in a flower shop. Her passion for design flourished, leading her to pursue a degree in botany. Despite the academic path, her heart remained dedicated to the world of design.

Transitioning from her role at Thomas Hobbs Florist in Vancouver to establishing her own floral studio in 2007, Travis consistently astounded those around her with unparalleled creativity, style, and meticulous attention to detail. Unafraid to challenge boundaries and defy floral norms, Travis’s ultimate goal is to craft the most astonishing flowers, exceeding client expectations with every delivery.

The inspiration behind the name Calyx Floral Design stems from Travis’s botanical background, with “calyx” being a term in botany referring to the protective layer around a flower’s petals.

Calyx Floral Design has undergone remarkable growth, transforming into a comprehensive floral studio with a team of creative designers specializing in weddings and events. The studio offers a diverse array of services, including custom floral design, build-a-bouquet packages, floral workshops, seasonal designs, outdoor décor, and special arrangements tailored for loved ones.
