Fleur De Villes 2025
We have had the honour of participating in multiple Fleur De Villes events, and we are so excited to share our two most recent installations with you. Working on the Fleur de Villes Downton Abbey event at VanDusen Botanical Gardens was an absolute delight. Our team brought Lade Rose MacClare and Jack Ross to life, floating on the S.S. Minnow among lily pads under towering trees. The event’s floral artistry was breathtaking, showcasing creativity and precision from designers across the region.
For our mannequins, every detail mattered. Lady Rose wore a hand-crafted dress inspired by the 1920s, layered with dyed preserved amaranthus and woven leaf motifs to mimic embroidered fabric. Jack’s suit was textured with carefully glued foliage, creating the look of tweed while maintaining an organic feel. His floral tie, crafted from individual petals, added an elegant touch that made guests pause for a closer look.
Additionally, our boat brimmed with vibrant blooms, from delphinium, to roses and clouds of baby’s breath, each colour carefully selected to complement the Downton Abbey theme. The installation felt alive, moving gently on the water and catching the light in every ripple. Visitors were captivated by the scene, taking in the floral details while reflecting on the romantic, rebellious love story of Lady Rose and Jack Ross.
Winning Fan Favourite was an incredible honour, reminding us how art and flowers can bring people together. Every design at this Fleur De Ville event was an example of what magic happens when floral creators collaborate to transform public spaces into floral galleries. It was a joy to contribute to an event that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling through flowers.

COUNTRY MUSIC ICONS AT THE CALGARY STAMPEDE
We are thrilled to have brought Shania Twain to life for Fleur De Villes at the Calgary Stampede, celebrating Canada’s queen of country in floral artistry. Inspired by her “You’re Still the One” music video, our mannequin sits astride a silver horse, echoing Shania’s iconic romantic visuals. We crafted a textured mane and tail from preserved natural fibres, added raffia reins for a western touch and dressed Shania in a lush floral jacket, draping white roses, carnations, baby’s breath, chrysanthemums and orchids behind her. A vibrant blue wave at the horse’s base nods to the water scene from her video.
This installation is on display from July 4-13 at the BMO Centre and is free to enjoy with your admission into Stampede. Visitors are invited to vote for their favourite installation, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
Fleur de Villes events are always an honour to participate in, combining storytelling with the challenge of mechanics and design. We work to create realistic displays that capture the essence of the subject while ensuring strong structure, hidden water sources to ensure flower longevity throughout the event.
While the event celebrates country music legends, each design pushes our creativity and skills, balancing beauty and practicality. Events like these remind us how flowers tell stories, evoke memories, and celebrate icons in a way that feels alive and joyful. We are grateful for the amazing opportunities like this, where art, community and floral design intersect in vibrant and memorable ways.
