Cassidy and Adon’s wedding drew from a palette of crisp white, warm ivory and rich green – anchored by the drama of black tie formality softened with romantic garden florals. The result was a wedding that felt both polished and deeply personal.
Cassidy was magnetic. Her sleek spaghetti strap gown moved with quiet confidence and her cathedral veil drew the eye without competing with the dress. Dark hair swept back, pearl drop earrings and a delicate layered necklace completed her effortlessly refined look. Her bouquet was a lush, organic design of roses, ranunculus, sweet peas and lisianthus with soft tweedia adding the faintest whisper of dusty blue. Italian ruscus and eucalyptus wove through the stems, giving the bouquet a gentle, earthy element.
Her four bridesmaids wore floor length gowns in a deep olive satin – a shade that photographed richly against the green of the surrounding trees. The matching dresses kept a classic cohesive look for the formal affair. Each bridesmaid carried a generous cloud like bouquet of baby’s breath: voluminous, effortlessly feminine and a perfect textural contrast to Cassidy’s structured bouquet.
The groom cut a sharp silhouette in a black tuxedo, and his groomsmen echoed the aesthetic in coordinating black suits with green ties Each wore a boutonnière featuring white ranunculus, spray roses with a touch of tweedia and eucalyptus, mirroring the bridal florals with intention.
Standing side by side, Cassidy and Adon wore their wedding day with the ease of two people who had always known exactly where they were headed.
CEREMONY
Hilltop Wedding Center in Sylvan Lake, AB, provided one of the most naturally cinematic ceremony backdrops in Central Alberta. Mature trees framed the outdoor space, and a grand piano positioned to one side set an elevated, almost theatrical tone before a single guest was even seated.
White folding chairs lined both sides of a wide grass aisle. Ivory rose petals scattered across the green created a path that felt softly bridal without being fussy. Guests followed the petals forward, eyes inevitably drawn toward the arch at the end of the aisle.
The ceremony arch was full and abundant, built in a classic, rounded form that suited the romantic setting. Roses, ranunculus, dahlias, lisianthus and sweet peas clustered together in white and ivory tones. Deep green foliage – Italian ruscus, smilax and bay laurel – wove throughout, giving the arch a lush almost overgrown quality that felt like something out of a fairytale.
Hilltop’s shallow pond behind the arch reflected the scene, doubling the visual impact of the florals at the exact moment it mattered most.
When Cassidy walked through those petals toward Adon, every detail framed the moment exactly as it deserved.
RECEPTION
Calyx Floral Design carried the white and green palette seamlessly into the tented reception space at Hilltop Wedding Center. The clear panel marquee tent allowed the surrounding tree line to become part of the interior atmosphere. Guests dined with the Alberta landscape visible in every direction. Natural wood chiavari chairs, white linens and deep velvety green napkins gave the tables a collected and intentional feel.
Guests were greeted by a welcome sign, framed in white roses and eucalyptus, along with a seating chart draped with lush garland of greenery. Before even sitting down, the warmth of the first few moments setting the tone for a magical evening.
Each round guest tale centred a low garden style arrangement in a white ceramic vessel. Roses, ranunculus, dahlias and eucalyptus spilling softly over the white tablecloths. Frosted acrylic table numbers, crystal stemware, and gold flatware completed a table scape that was tactile and considered.
The sweetheart table commanded the far end of the tent, with open panels overlooking the beautifully maintained golf course. A floor installation of white blooms and lush greenery cascaded from the table corners down to the floor on both sides, creating a floral surround that felt more like the table was part of a garden than a table arrangement.
Overhead, installations of smilax and Italian ruscus hung from the chandeliers, softening the ceiling and drawing the garden aesthetic upward. The same greenery trailed across the dessert station, framing individual serving jars of coffee creme brûlée and lemon meringue cheesecake. The three tier pearl embossed wedding cake and the heart shaped “just married” cutting cake also sat nestled in trailing ruscus.
Every element, from the trailing greenery to the luxurious sweetheart table, made the tent feel less like a venue and more like a world the two of them had build together for one unforgettable night.
