If you love vintage garden parties, this one’s for you! Ashley and Chad’s Garden Wedding took place at the beautiful Trochu Arboretum. Ashley’s bridal bouquet was a stunning compact, yet natural, hand-tied bouquet. It was created with a variety of flowers in cream and purple tones, such as plum dahlias, ocean song roses, white ranunculus, lavender spray roses, blackberry scoop scabiosa, and succulents. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were made of similar flowers but were smaller in size and didn’t have the contrast of the deeper plum colour. What a fun way to make the bride’s bouquet stand out! Also, how cute is that junior bridesmaid?!

With the warmer weather these days, I have been loving all of the pastels and dreaming of spring. Today I’d like to share with you Rebecca and Carl’s pastel wedding! Flower crowns, silky dresses, beautiful florals and a touch of sparkle – this wedding was a fairytale!

First, check out our beautiful bride! Rebecca carried a gorgeous cascading hand tied bouquet made with a variety of flowers in pale pink and blue tones with a pop of burgundy. Juliet garden roses, astilbe, astrantia, sweet peas, blushing bride protea, scabiosa and eryngium stood out against eucalyptus greens. What a bouquet! Rebecca’s floral crown was designed with wax flowers at the front and roses and eryngium at the back. Oh, how lovely! You know how much we love flower crowns!

Next up, the rest of the bridal party! Designed using the same flowers, the bridesmaids perfectly accented the bride. Their bouquets were smaller versions of the bridal bouquet and looked so lovely against their flowy dresses! The tie back flower crowns were designed using soft pink wax flower and greenery. As for the dapper gentlemen, mini bouquet style boutonnieres were created using small blooms that compliment the bridal bouquet. What a good looking group!

Now onto the floral decor! For the ceremony, a long green plumosa garland attached to the archway created the focal point at the end of the aisle. (Plumosa is one of those greens that adds a lot of whimsy and movement!) For a pop of floral, two asymmetrical floral arrangements were added made of dahlias, roses, hydrangeas, king protea, and astrantia. At the reception, this beautiful garland was later reused as the florals for the head table! Such a great idea! We love making multi-use pieces!

Finally, one of my favourite parts… the centrepieces! Look at those gorgeous Juliet garden roses! Don’t you absolutely love them!? I love the way the blooms spill out of the lantern. Complete with fairy lights and a bed of moss, these arrangements were so dreamy!

I hope you are able to find some inspiration for your own wedding! Please enjoy the photos from Nicole Park Photography!

I am so excited to share with you Rachel and Duncan’s Red Deer Wedding! Elegance in the snow… seriously though! In true Canadian fashion this gorgeous couple had an outdoor ceremony in the snow! Complete with Hudson Bay Co. blankets, fur shawls and a stop at Hudson’s Pub – does it get more Canadian than that?

As for the florals, a fresh greenery garland was hung on a simple wooden arch to create a backdrop for the ceremony. Fresh blooms in ivory and pale pink tones were subtly added throughout. Simplicity at its finest.

Rachel’s bridal bouquet was a stunning compact, yet natural, hand tied bouquet. Neutral coloured florals in blush, white, and cream paired with grey toned greenery gave this bouquet an elegant feel. Blooms such as white o’hara garden roses, quicksand roses, white ranunculus, and pale blush pink astilbe stood out against a variety of eucalyptus. To complete the look, the handle was wrapped with blush pink silk with trailing ribbons. What a luxurious bouquet! The bridesmaid’s bouquet perfectly complimented the bride and stood out beautifully against her dress.

As for the dapper gentlemen, their boutonnieres were made of ivory spray roses accented by pale pink astilbe and greenery. They were wrapped in a neutral silk ribbon to match the bride’s bouquet. Classic and elegant.

Not only does this gorgeous wedding showcases some of the beautiful spots Red Deer has to offer, but also how beautiful winter weddings are! Please enjoy these photos from Ash Maclean Photography!
