Did you join us a couple of weeks ago for the Canyon Ski Resort‘s 2nd Annual open house? If so, I’m pretty sure you left in absolute awe! The decor in the room was stunning, the cakes were both gorgeous and delicious and the venue sparkled! I had a great time at the event last year, but an even better time this year. It was so wonderful to network with such a wonderful group of wedding professionals and to meet so many brides and their families.
Our floral team had a great time with the decor. Engaged by Darcie brought her A-game and decorated two of the most beautiful head tables I have ever seen – and we got to accent them with some pretty unique flowers! The hanging rings of fresh greenery and pale pink blooms with beautiful sheer drapery hung between highlighted the gorgeous windows – and garlands of peonies topping the chandelier stands made a huge impact on the table. Sugar by Tracy‘s stunning five foot cake ….well, it took the cake! I also added a little accent to the ceremony room with a small garland, draping and a few fresh blooms on my favourite fireplace in the room! All of the table decor and linens were provided by Special Event Rentals
Lori Angebrandt Event Planning and Design did a spectacular job of decorating the guest tables, each designed in a unique colour scheme and style. To finish the room we created matching centrepieces for each of the tables ranging from a simple inexpensive hydrangea vase and a rustic succulent garden in an antique crystal bowl to an over-the-top silver candelabra arrangement filled with peonies, cafe au lait dahlia and garden roses. The tables also received their own unique set of stationary from the very talented Tracy of Paper Blush.
My favourite part of the decor had to be the gorgeous chandelier! I LOVE the stunning two tier chandelier in the main hall at Canyon, and it looks beyond amazing when covered in fresh greenery! Want to add a little Wow factor to your ceremony? Consider a floral chandelier! What an impact!!!!
