Caroline + Brock

This wedding is actually from 2013, but I am on a winter wedding kick and this is one of my FAVOURITE weddings. You will see why. I actually did the flowers for this wedding before I started working with Travis, when I owned my own small floral business, Cattleya Chic. I got the opportunity to work with this SUPER sweet, down to earth couple Caroline and Brock. They had Sharon from Naturally Chic as their wedding planner, and let me tell you people, Sharon is truly a magic maker. She is a wonderful planner, full of brilliant ideas, she has great eye for detail and she is very crafty. She has all these hidden talents, for this wedding alone she made the birch containers for the centerpieces, the adorable snowflake wooden invites, and the custom table ‘numbers.’ I have seen her do tons of other cool things for other weddings including wooden boxes for cashmere mitten favours, engraved acrylic place cards and tons of other amazing things you can find here. She did such a wonderful job capturing Caroline and Brock’s personality and style in the overall wedding design.

I absolutely loved getting to design the flowers for this wedding. It was definitely a change from my typical summer hand tieds! For the bouquets we knew that they would be spending lots of time outside for the ceremony and for pictures so it had to be something that would hold up to the cold. For Caroline we decided to go with a combination of cotton, pine cones, wood flowers, brunia with a dusty miller collar and their girls carried simple pine cone bouquets. I used adorable little cedar cones for Brock’s boutonniere accented with some silver seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves. The centerpieces were all designed into different sized birch containers which were filled with hydrangea, stock, roses, brunia, pine cones and silver eryngium. Her bouquet is one of my FAVS and I loved how all the flowers came together with the other details!

To top it off, the wedding was photographed by Julie Williams Photography who seriously did such an amazing job capturing their day. There were so many gorgeous photos I had a hard time trying to limit how many I used, if you want to see the rest you can see her post here. Everything was absolutely stunning and I feel incredibly grateful to have the chance to work with such a wonderful couple and talented wedding team. Grab a hot cocoa and enjoy these photos!
