Tricia and Adrian’s Magical Mountain Wedding

Magical Mountain Wedding couple

This wedding was not only Magical it was exquisite and elegant taking place at the Grand Banff Springs Hotel.  This wedding was also what you call pivotal.  The original plan for this event  was in a different location with two hundred guests and a very different set up.  Two weeks before the wedding new pandemic restrictions came in limiting the number of guests that could attend.  This sent things in a bit of a spin but with their brilliant wedding planner they were able to make the changes and have an incredible day.

With the majestic rocky mountains as a backdrop the ceremony took place on the hotel’s magnificent terrace overlooking the breathtaking Bow Valley.  Adding to the beauty two stunning large arrangements were designed in gold compote dishes and placed atop pillars. The arrangements were designed with playa blanca roses, lisianthus and ranunculus that stood out against the lush greeneryTwo additional arrangements were placed behind the guests chairs. These arrangements were  designed in a triangle shape larger towards the aisle, gently wrapping around the chair into the aisle. Italian ruscus, seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus were used to create a full covering of greenery, atop this were white hydrangea, playa blanca roses, lisianthus, and ranunculus.  All the florals and greenery used for the ceremony arrangements were those that were ordered to make the many guest table centerpieces for their original plan.

Our stunning bride carried a natural hand tied bouquet designed in a loose natural style with a selection of gorgeous white blooms including ivory playa blanca roses, white ranunculus, white lisianthus and white astilbe.  The blooms stood out beautifully against the sage toned seeded silver dollar and gunni eucalyptus greenery and was finished off with a simple ivory satin ribbon wrapped around the handle.  Her groom wore a simple yet classic boutonnière designed with a single white ranunculus bloom accented by a touch of greenery and wrapped with ivory.

Following the intimate ceremony the reception showcased the sweetheart head table that was  designed using all the flowers and greenery that would have adorned the large head table they had originally planned on. This lush and gorgeous arrangement burst with Italian ruscus, passion vine and silver dollar eucalyptus that draped from the table, while along the top of the table a variety of white blooms including playa blanca roses, lisianthus, hydrangea and ranunculus were tucked throughout the greenery.

All in all this wedding was amazing.  I hope you enjoyed this blog and can picture this beautiful fairytale castle setting and the gorgeous floral additions that made it all that more magnificent.
