Michelle and Doug’s Orchid and Lily Wedding

Archway with voile drapery and fresh white floral arrangments on rustic archway in a wheat field with tree backdrop

Today I am pleased to share with you Michelle and Doug’s Orchid and Lily Wedding. This late summer wedding took place in Red Deer County. With a seriously gorgeous cascade bouquet, stunning archway, and lilies and orchids galore, this rustic yet elegant wedding does not disappoint. Check it out!

First, our beautiful bride, Michelle. She wore a few orchid blooms in her hair and also carried a stunning cascade bouquet made with a variety of flowers in creams with just a hint of deep burgundy. It included flowers such as calla lilies, dendrobium orchids, cymbidium orchids, hydrangea and vendella roses. Certainly a gorgeous bouquet!

Furthermore, her handsome groom, Doug. He wore an enchanting boutonniere made of a white calla lily with a burgundy dendrobium orchid and a touch of greenery. The perfect compliment to his gorgeous bride.

Finally, the aforementioned stunning archway. Standing at the edge of a golden field, this impressive archway created a gorgeous focal point for the ceremony. To create this display, asymmetrical arrangements of fresh greenery and blooms were attached to the wooden beams of the ivory draped archway. These arrangements were created with casablanca lilies, dendrobium orchids, burgundy dahlias, tibet and vendella roses, and hydrangeas atop salal and eucalyptus. Seriously stunning! Certainly a magical place to say your vows!

Please enjoy these lovely photos taken by the even lovelier Joy Breitkreutz Photography. Also, I hope you are able to find some inspiration for your own wedding or event!
