Nicole and Koos’ Rustic Whimsy Wedding

Nicole and Koos’ Rustic Whimsy Wedding took place at the Big Red Barn in Lacombe. Elegant yet playful, this rustic wedding was certainly one to remember! Check it out!

First of all, Nicole looked beautiful carrying a stunning hand-tied bouquet designed in a loose and natural style. It featured a variety of unique flowers including a single blush pink king protea, quicksand roses, peonies, succulents and blushing bride protea. The bridal bouquet was finished with mixed eucalyptus, an ivory satin with lace overlay wrap and a cross pendant. We love adding those special touches to make your bouquet truly one of a kind!

As for the bridesmaids, their bouquets were created with a single large pale pink king protea surrounded by a variety of eucalyptus greenery. Simple yet stunning, these bouquets complimented the bridal bouquet perfectly while pairing nicely with their dresses.

Next up, the groom and his groomsmen wore boutonnieres with blooms taken from the bride’s bouquet. The groom had a slightly bigger boutonniere designed with a succulent, blushing bride protea and a touch of greenery, while the groomsmen’s boutonnieres were smaller and featured adorable blushing bride protea. These bouts create a cohesive feel in the bridal party and are just so charming!

In addition, the floral decor was amazing! The ceremony arrangement was designed to attach to the corner of a gorgeous herringbone wood backdrop. It was designed with matching flowers atop lush fresh greenery. What a focal point for the end of the aisle! For the signing table, we adorned an “N” and “K” with succulents and moss. How cute were they?!

Furthermore, the reception, held upstairs inside the barn, was just as spectacular. The centrepieces were certainly a wow factor in the room! They were designed with manzanita branches in barn wood boxes. Hung from the branches were crystals and air plants inside clear globes. These were actually given as the wedding favours. How fun is that?! At the base of the tree was moss, succulents and either a large king protea or a peony. I love how whimsical yet elegant these centrepieces were!

In conclusion, I hope you enjoy these photos of Nicole and Koos’ Rustic Whimsy Wedding and are able to find some inspiration for your own wedding or event! Also, a big thank you to the wonderful Lindsay Nickel Photography!
