The leaves are turning and that means it’s time for the 5th Annual Sharpe Avenue Fall Festival! Happening October 4th from 11am to 3pm, this beloved Red Deer tradition is set to bring charm and community spirit to all who attend.

The festival is organized y our own Travis Mills and first began as a way to celebrate the anniversary of businesses moving into Sharpe Avenue. What started as a small, simple event has blossomed into a much anticipated event. Inspired by the cozy, small town vibe of the Gilmore Girls, it delivers that same warm, festive atmosphere.

Every year families look forward to the activities, and this year is no exception. Children can bounce in castles, visit the petting zoo, play games, or enjoy face painting and crafts. Adults will love browsing sales and sipping coffee while enjoying live music. Local food trucks, candy apples, popcorn and cotton candy add the festive spirit.

Community support is at the heart of the event, and will be accepting donations to support the Red Deer Hospice Society, meaning every smile, snack and craft helps a worthy cause. Visitors can also shop reusable totes for the fundraiser for Mia’s Closet or create their own pumpkin arrangements to take home.
