Today’s wedding is a timeless mountain wedding at the gorgeous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. The colour palette was a romantic mix of burgundy, blush and ivory and the flowers are gorgeous!

The ceremony took place on the picturesque outdoor terrace with beautiful mountain views for a backdrop. I love the stunning asymmetrical archway with the elegant draped fabric and exquisite flowers. We used oodles of roses – O’hara garden roses, blush quicksand roses, black bacara roses and white majolica spray roses with blush butterfly ranunculus, burgundy cymbidiums, white lisianthus, eucalyptus (silver dollar and cinerea), italian ruscus and salal.

Additionally, big, luxurious arrangements lined the aisle, made to match. The only change in flowers was the addition of white delphinium and no cymbidium orchids. Finally, the guests were provided with cones of rose petals in burgundy, blush and ivory to throw at the end of the ceremony, so sweet!

The reception was in the refined Cascade Ballroom of the hotel and it was spectacular! The Banff Springs venue has such stunning ornate details that makes for such a romantic setting. We did a mixture of high table centrepieces with substantial arrangements atop gold stands, with fresh greenery running the length of the table, peppered with candles for ambience.

The shorter centrepieces were on the round tables in a low compote vase with a natural design style in an elongated shape with flowers to match the rest of the wedding. The tables were impressively styled with the crystal glassware, gold accents and posh linens and stationery.

Lastly, a chic two-tier cake. I love the simple design with the yummy texture from the vertical lines. We designed a cluster of roses and lisianthus with a few tucks of Italian ruscus for greenery.
