Stephanie and Matt's Phenomenal Fall Wedding

We have a pretty one for you today – please enjoy Stephanie and Matt’s phenomenal fall wedding! With blush, rose gold and champagne their wedding was very romantic with a side of glam.

Stephanie looked divine! Her dress was sublime. I loved the sleeves, soft, billowing layers and delicate floral lace accents. With her luscious blond locks in soft waves, it is giving me Old World Glam vibes. To compliment we designed a looser, more organic styled handtied bouquet in a mixture of blush and ivory. For the flowers we used white astilbe, blush butterfly ranunculus, Kiera garden roses, blush hanoi ranunculus, white majolica spray roses, champagne sweet peas with tucks of Italian ruscus, olive branches and smilax for greenery.  The bouquet was finished off with a simple satin stem wrap with a piece of the bride’s grandmother’s veil as a memento.

The bridesmaids were looking very beautiful in their soft, blush gowns. We made their bouquets to match Stephanie’s, natural hand tied bouquets all of the same flowers just slightly smaller in scale. Their bouquets were finished off with a simple satin stem wrap.

Our precious little flower girl also had a matching bouquet, but hers was designed extra special! We arranged her flowers around a bubble gun, which she used while she walked down the aisle, adorable! Along with her bouquet, she also wore a delicate flower crown made up of astilbe, ranunculus spray roses and sweet peas with little tucks of greenery.

How about the groom!? Matt was looking very dashing in his classic black tux. We designed his boutonniere like a miniature bouquet with astilbe, ranunculus, spray roses and ruscus. The groomsman, ring bearer and father wore a slightly smaller version of this same boutonniere.

CEREMONY

Both the ceremony and the reception took place at 52 North, which is a very cool venue. Located just outside of Sylvan Lake, it has an industrial feel to it, with lots of clean, contemporary details that make it a great blank slate for you to dress up as you please. On top of that, it is full of natural light, which is glorious. Not only is the building beautiful, they also have a gorgeous outdoor ceremony location very nearby as well as suites for the bridal party to get ready at.

The outdoor ceremony site is surrounded by trees, which makes for a sunning backdrop in the fall. We had a number of beautiful floral pieces to accent the natural setting.

There was a welcome sign to greet guests as they arrived that helped direct them to the ceremony location, and a matching sign near the aisle to invite guests to sit anywhere. Both signs were accented with beautiful floral arrangement using flowers and greenery to match those used throughout the wedding.

Two large barrels marked the start of the aisle. On top of the barrels we designed luxurious arrangements full of roses, ranunculus and spray roses with Italian ruscus and smilax spilling over the sides of the barrel into the floral pieces lining the aisle.

Smilax and Italian ruscus with their vining growth trailed all along the aisle creating a perfect lush base. Mixed amongst the greens were blush and ivory arrangements made up of roses, ranunculus and spray roses.

All of these gorgeous arrangements and greens lead down to the stunning archway. While some of our other weddings recently have featured asymmetrical free standing arch pieces, this archway was a classic archway overflowing with flowers! We used salad, smilax and ruscus to create the base, then filled in with blush butterfly ranunculus, blush hanoi ranunculus, playa blanca roses, quicksand roses and white majolica spray roses. I will never get tired of these stunning archways!

RECEPTION

As I previously mentioned, the venue is fabulous and the way that it transformed for Steph and Matt’s reception was flawless. Let’s start with the tables, because they are lovely. I feel like the tables themselves are so pretty it would feel wrong to hide them under a tablecloth. Having the wood element added richness to the room and was such a lovely contrast to the blush and ivory accents of the flowers and linens. Interspersed in the Italian ruscus and smilax draped along the tables, were long tapered candles, short golden votive candles and also floating candles in cylindrical vases – creating a magical ambience. In the centre of each of the guest tables, on top of tall golden stands, were spectacular arrangements full of roses, ranunculus and greenery.

From the large, rectangular chandeliers in the centre of the room, we had fresh ruscus and smilax weaving in and out, and trailing down for a wild, earthy look.

The cake table was such a fun design element and was beautifully done. The stylish backdrop really captures your attention, and then it stays to marvel over the gorgeous floral display and decadent looking cake. The cake itself is very simple and elegant in design and accented with a small spray of flowers with a rose, astilbe, ranunculus and stock. Oodles of blush and ivory flowers adorn the area in gorgeous arrangements, as well as a special floral piece attached to the top of the backdrop near their neon “the Ferris'” sign. Everything about this area looked delicious.

Finally, the head table, which was very lavish. Behind the table was a backdrop that framed the couple, full of fresh greenery and blush and ivory flowers. Similar to the guest’s tables, lush greens ran along the front of the table. I loved the giant Mr. & Mrs. marquee sign as a focal point highlighting the head table. All along the floor in front of the sign we worked in tons of flowers and greenery, matching what had been used throughout the wedding. It looked exquisite!

Throughout the room there were a few other floral accents like bud vases at the cocktail tables, arrangements at the bar as well as the s’more station. All in all, with the room filled with lush greenery and stunning flowers everywhere you looked, the effect was absolutely sensational. It was such a treat getting to help set up this wonderful wedding, and we wish all the best to Stephanie and Matt!

Thank you so much for coming along  to enjoy this phenmonenal fall wedding, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
